We received some very funny looks from other shoppers at the weekend when we both shrieked at the sight of Maison Blanc‘s Pistachio & Raspberry Delice Slices. We are both fanatical fans of anything Pistachio and this coupled with branding from Maison Blanc lead us to firmly believe that these were worth all of the £4 they cost.
Alas, they were a massive disappointment. If it were not for the fancy packaging and refined presentation, these tasted no more impressive than any other cream slice from a budget supermarket. The flavour of the Pistachio was totally lost to the overpowering synthetic tasting raspberry syrup and sickly sweet buttercream.
Sigh.
